lawsuit against USADA

The youngster, who hails from Bathurst in New South Wales, said that his lead wasn't the only card the squad had to play as the race nears its conclusion.

"With Credit Agricole we have the double spear attack with Simon Gerrans and myself," he said. "We'll be looking to either put Simon in the break or have me defend the jersey."

Renshaw says he's excited by the prospect of walking away from the event with the overall orche jersey, but that there's a long way to go before that possibility becomes any more than that.

"Every day it becomes a little bit more possible," he said. "If I can get through tomorrow within striking distance there's no reason why I couldn't come back on Sunday and take a few seconds back, but I'm going to need to be within three to five seconds and that's going to come down to tomorrow."

The Tour Down Under's penultimate stage is a 147 kilometre test from Willunga to Willunga and will commences at 11am local time.

Hungarian GP - Sunday - Team Quotes

Fernando Alonso (4th): "I am quite pleased with the race today which was a difficult one. The maximum we could have reached from sixth position on the grid was a podium finish - especially on this circuit which is comparable to Monaco in terms of overtaking opportunities. This didn't work out in the end, but fourth is better than fifth and at the final stage of the race I did not push too much to save my engine for the Turkish Grand Prix. Without the penalty after yesterday's qualifying the victory would have been possible today as you can see on my lap times when I had a clear track. I am now seven points behind Lewis. The fight for the championship is still open and I will try my best to close the gap."

Ron Dennis, Team Principal: "A weekend full of stress and emotion. The issues that faced us, not just this weekend but also in the previous month, has tested the resolve of the whole team.

City asks drivers to move cars

City of McCook workers smooth snow-packed ridges in the street and scrape ice from a curb and gutter in the 400 block of West I Tuesday afternoon. Similar work at intersections throughout McCook helped removed debris from catch basins, improving the flow of melting snow and ice along residential curbs. The work came just in time before the next big snow fall, predicted to come in a blizzard today.

McCreadie misses Chili Bowl final

After making the finals of three consecutive Chili Bowl Nationals, Tim McCreadie failed to qualify for the 50-lapper during Saturday night's 22nd edition of the indoor midget car classic in Tulsa, Okla.

Fighting an ill-handling car all week, McCreadie managed to win a heat race during Wednesday's opening night of qualifiers on the Tulsa Expo Center's temporary quarter-mile clay oval.

He then finished third in the fourth qualifier, giving him a spot in the night's 25-lap feature race. There he struggled to a ninth-place finish. That gave the Watertown native the seventh place starting spot for Saturday's first of two 20-lap "B" consolation final qualifying races.

All McCreadie needed to do to qualify for his fourth Chili Bowl finale was advance one position in the consolation race.

Zardari wants cases dropped ‘as NRO still valid’

KARACHI: PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari has filed a petition in the Sindh High Court, requesting it to order the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and the deputy attorney general (DAG) not to pursue cases against him.

Zardaris attorney Abu Bakar Zardari, represented by former attorney general Farooq H Naek, maintained that the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) was still valid after the state of emergency had been lifted and the Provisional Constitution Order (PCO) of 2007 repealed. Under the ordinance, the government and its agents (including NAB and the DAGs office) could not pursue cases against the petitioner inside or outside Pakistan, his counsel maintained.

The NAB chairman and the DAG were put on notice for February 29 by the division bench consisting of Justice Qaiser Iqbal and Justice Syed Mehmood Alam Rizvi.

Radio & TV Talk

Judd on the Bull read an email he received from a listener complaining about his accent, that it was too strong, too redneck for today's Atlanta. It's a familiar complaint. It's part of the reason Moby was let go from Kicks back in 2002. (I've written a story updating the world about Moby for the print edition of Sunday Living this weekend.)

Cledus defended himself, said he's not going to subsume is Cartersville accent for anybody. I was out and about and not jotting notes down so I don't have his exact defense but he said he's proud of being Southern and having said accent.

"I can't change my accent. This is where I am and if they don't like it, punch the button," he said after the show in an interview. "I'd never judge anybody by the way they talk. That's not fair."

"I think he is who he is," said Clay Hunnicutt, his boss.

Check out the 2008 Audi S5

I can't recall the last time I drove a red Audi.

Audis don't shout; they whisper.

But the crimson-coated S5 that landed in my parking lot cried out for attention -- and deserved it. The very name "Audi," by the way, means "listen" in Latin.

Stunningly designed, the S5 seemed to beckon playmates with its aggressive stance, muscular physique and wide-eyed, teeth-baring visage. Clearly, the racy TT roadster's DNA has altered the gene pool of a once-stodgy luxury-car brand known mostly for quattro all-wheel drive.

Yes, the benchmark quattro system is still with us. But, as the S5 demonstrates, a safety feature can also contribute to performance. We're talking control here, lots of it. There's probably a way to topple this car, but you're going to need a ramp.

Big-ticket bikes: Why buy a Chevette when you can have a Ferrari?

Sandro doesn't want you to know where he lives, where he works or even what his last name is. He has a secret - a lie, some might call it - that mustn't get out.

But here it is anyway: Sandro paid $7,000 for a bicycle. Why the cloak-and-dagger act?

"My wife would probably kill me if she knew," he says discreetly from work. "I told her I bought it with my sister."

Like many big-spending weekend warriors, he fell for Cannondale Bicycle, a company whose bikes have been ridden to stage victories at the Tour de France and world championships in mountain biking.

"Why have a Chevette when you can have a Ferrari?" says Sandro, who rides a few hours a week during the warmer months to keep in shape.

On Monday, Montreal-based Dorel Industries announced a deal to buy Cannondale for about $200-million (U.S.).
